The quality of our fabrics stems from a carefully controlled production chain. Nicoline works exclusively with reputable Italian manufacturers who lead the way in terms of yarns and quality finished fabrics.

Colours and patterns are chosen with the utmost care and updated every six months. Today Nicoline’s pattern book contains 180 different fabrics in an endless variety of colours.

Cutting fabrics

Fabrics are usually a standard 140 cm wide.

Plain fabrics are cut using a numerical controlled machine which automatically positions the templates (since the fabric is the same all over – unlike leather – a craftsman’s eye is not needed).

Fabrics with a “repeat” (florals, stripes) are still hand cut by one of our experts.

They position the templates on the material and, as if they were making a bespoke suit, mark out the pattern with chalk before cutting it by hand. The cut parts then go on to the stitching stage.
